We breed exclusively Italian queen bees for the New Zealand market. Our aim is to produce a strong, productive bee that is active but not aggressive. All of our queens are open mated. We have a strict checking regime prior to sending queens to ensure their quality and sell overwintered, Spring, Summer and Autumn queen bees. In the end, if we wouldn’t be happy to have a queen in one of our hives we aren’t happy to have it in our clients.

We produce queen cells for the local market only. Cells are a great option for introducing new genetics to your beekeeping operation and are bred from the same breeder queens that we use in our production. Cells are more fragile than queens and can’t be shipped to all parts of New Zealand. Please contact us for more information.

We specialise in the production of queens and hives but also produce and pack  honey for sale.  Our honey is extracted and packed in premises certified for export to the EU, the gold standard in hygiene and traceability, for your peace of mind. Our stock and types of honey vary across seasons.

We produce virgin queens using a very specific system. This is designed to produce the best quality bee delivered to you as quickly as possible. Virgin queens are a great way of accessing our breeding stock with a high quality product that can be posted throughout the country.

We have produced full sized and nucleus hives for beekeepers of all sizes throughout the country for many years. We can supply hives complete with all equipment or ‘frame only”. Queens can be newly mated or overwintered depending on your requirements.
